Little Lady Ballet

Ballet and Creative Movement classes
for ages 3 - 10

Little Lady Ballet was originally founded in 1986 by Connie Smith.  "Miss Connie" taught hundreds of dancers from the Salt Lake valley, and her former students still fondly remember her wonderful teaching and dedication to each dancer.  Connie's daughter, Natalie, grew up dancing and since becoming a mother to her own three girls, she was inspired to reopen the family business in 2008.  Natalie believes that ballet is the foundation of all dance forms and is excited to share her love of dance with her students.

Our younger ballerinas are introduced to the joy of dance and movement through age-appropriate stretching and warm-ups to begin class, creative expression through dance, and make-believe!  They will also learn the basic structure of dance class and are gently taught pre-ballet technique and basic French ballet terms in a playful and fun environment.

Our older dancers will learn a strong foundation in the basic positions, posture, etiquette and terminology of classical ballet to prepare them for more advanced study in ballet and other forms of dance.  They will
practice at the barre and learn basic steps in the center while gaining an understanding behind correct technique.  They will also focus more on flexibility, proper body alignment, and coordination.

Natalie's goal in teaching is to instill a love of dance in each of her students.  Above all, she wants them to feel beautiful, confident, and to have a positive self-image.
